This magazine spread is focused on celebrating and educating people on the Mexican day of the dead tradition. This project was entirely built by hand with cut paper shapes like flowers, skulls, hats, etc. Since the day of dead is a tradition with a lot of handmade decorations and very intimate for the families of those who are being celebrated, I wanted to bring that handmade and personal feel when reading the article while also making it fun with a lot of color, texture, and materials.
